29 gennaio OK Kiddo, it's time to get back to it!!!Hi Amy! I know you are feeling better now so it's time to get back to the gym and keep this lifestyle change going. We're gonna do it and we're gonna do it together! I just looked over my goals and I'm doing great with all of them except the vegetables. I went to the gym 6 days last week and I haven't missed a day this week. I've been doing 20 min. of cardio on different machines and then do upper body weights one day and lower body the next day for 40 min. or more. I really feel good, but I HAVE GOT TO QUIT SMOKING!!! If this is going to be a lifestyle change, that's really the first one I have to make!!! Now that I've got my eating and exercising going good, I'm going to work on the cigarettes before I work on the vegetables. Help me!!! How are you doing against your goals? I'm still up for a challenge, are you? What do you want to do? Also, send me your weight from your weigh in last Friday. I need to get our results up on our page. 21 gennaio Hi Kiddo,Hope you are feeling better! I know you worked out Saturday so you are on day 2 of missing a workout. Not much you can do with a fever so just rest and take your Tylenol to knock it quick. The hard thing will be to get back to the workouts. Get your vision back in your head and look at the goal and that will help you get back to the gym. I went to the Y this morning at 4:30 a.m. and did a 20 minute cardio on the treadmill and all the lower body weight machines. My arms are killing me since the upper body workout I did Saturday but I'm going to do them in the morning. I may have over done the amount of weight my first day. Take care and hope you are back at this with me soon! I'll call you later. Luv ya lots, Mom 19 gennaio Forgot Something - Are you up for a Challenge this week?I was thinking we could challenge each other each week on one of our goals. It could be a water challenge, workout challenge, vegetable challenge, whatever. Interested? Do you have any ideas? Momma I Lost .8 lbs. -- Not what I expected but I still had a great week.Hi Amy. Well, according to the scale at Weight Watchers I only lost .8 lbs. Not nearly as impressive as your 6 lbs. loss the first week but it goes to show we all have different bodies. I had a great week. I stayed on plan every day except Thursday night at LaPachanga and I worked out 3 times so I'm not going to let it set me back because this is a Lifestyle Change and I'm doing good with that. You, on the other hand are doing great! After Weight Watchers I went to the gym and did a 20 minute mile on the treadmill. Achilles tendons still don't like that machine. Then I moved on to the weights and did the upper body. I'm going to get rid of frick and frack if it kills me! Ended up being there for 1-1/2 hours. Felt GREAT afterwards but I was starving. That's something I have to work on. I need to make sure to eat breakfast on the weekends. Weekdays are easy but my weekend routine needs work. Staying home tomorrow to work around the house, get my meals planned and to pull a couple of recipe ideas to send you. One thing I have found for a quick lunch or dinner is those Lean Cuisine Chicken Pannini's. They are pretty good. Well, gotta get out to St. Pius for an Alumni Trivia night charity event. Hope your workout went well today. Talk at ya later. Luv, Mom WAY TO GO AMY!!! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!6 pounds...YOU GO GIRL!!! I knew you could do it and now you do it. Not eating out and stopping the soda are big goals accomplished!!! It really is amazing how much weight that can put on and now you just realized it and that's great! Keep at that eliptical. You understand it's importance, and your muscles do to but the muscles just have to get used to it. They will come around and before you know it you'll be doing the eliptical for 30 minutes without the pain. I've really got to get weight training going along with the cardio. I think we both need to. Weight training will build muscle and that will burn more fat...woooohooooey! I'm headed to the gym after Weight Watchers this morning. I forgot to weigh in yesterday so I'll let you know how I do at Weight Watchers. I know LaPachanga should not have ruined the whole week but I'm thinking it really didn't help! None the less, I'm not letting that one night stop me. WE ARE A TEAM AND WE ARE GOING TO GET HEALTHY!!! I'm really proud you passed up the Chinese buffet. I need some of your strength. If we pass on some things now, we can eventually add some of our favorites back into our routine because we don't want to deprive ourselves completely or we will get frustrated and that can lead to quitting. Let's shoot for a goal of not going to our favorite restaurants for 1 month and then we'll have it once and see how we do. Sound good? By the way, I wrote this message yesterday and thought I posted it but after going on this morning, it's not out there and it's not in my live writer either so I don't know where it went! So, the "one more thing" message actually belongs after this one. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN ON THE 6 POUND LOSS! KEEP IT UP GIRLFRIEND!!! LUV YA LOTS, MOMMA Thanks for visiting!
